Skidmore Auto Center is a locally owned and operated full service automotive repair facility serving Mt. Morris and the surrounding areas for 33 years. With almost 90 years combined experience, our team of 3 Master Technicians take great pride in their work.

We have 5 hoists ready to give your vehicle a lift. From the smallest car to the largest utility trucks we will be ready to handle your repairs. We take pride in our service. We treat your vehicle as if we are working on our own. Therefore, we stand by the work that we do for you!

  • Do you need to have an appointment before stopping in?

    Ideally it would be better so that we can allocate dedicated time for proper diagnosis and/or repair(s).

  • Do you perform free diagnostics?

    Yes we do! We will run diagnostics and if those issues are fixed by our crew, a 50 dollar credit will be applied if the bill exceeds 250 dollars.

  • What should I do if I can't brign the car to you?

    Skidmore Auto Center can have the car towed to the shop and the tow fees can be added to your bill.

  • Do you perform wheel alignments?

    Yes, we can assist with wheel alignemnts!

  • Can you fix my AC system?

    Yes we can! We have the means to service all your AC needs.

  • Can I drop my vehicle off the night before?

    Yes you can! We have a drop off box for you to drop your keys in anytime after hours.

  • Can you clean my car?

    Yes we can. We have the ability to clean out your vehicle cabin.

  • Can you replace my battery?

    Yes we can. We carry Interstate batteries in stock for most common vehicle sizes.

  • Can you replace my burnt light bulbs?

    We have light bulb replacements for most vehicles in shop.
